Calendar Policy & Procedures
The Federation Community Calendar provides an extensive list of events taking place in Utah. It is intended to be used by area professionals and volunteers for planning/scheduling future events.
The Community Calendar contains the meetings, activities and events of the United Jewish Federation of Utah and local Jewish agencies, organizations and synagogues as well as major Jewish community-wide events. Major community-wide events are defined as:
• events that are open to the entire community with an anticipated attendance of more than 75 people
• events that focus on a Jewish topic or issue
• events sponsored by a recognized Jewish agency, organization or synagogue
Please use the Community Calendar to post your community events and to check for potential conflict when planning your organization’s events.
POSTING AN EVENT ON THE COMMUNITY CALENDAR
Required information to list an event on the Community Calendar includes:
• event name
• event date
• event start & end times
• estimated attendance
• name of sponsoring organization
• event location
• contact information - who to contact for more information (name, phone, email, etc.)
• your contact information in case we find it necessary to discuss an entry with you.
Submissions made without complete, required information cannot be posted. Please check the availability of the date(s) prior to submitting an event for posting.
The Community calendar can also list a brief description of your event along with links to a more comprehensive web page about your event.
To list events on the Community Calendar please use our online submission form which can be reached by visiting www.shalomutah.org and clicking on “Community Calendar/Events and Courses” and then clicking the “Suggest an Event” link.

It is your responsibility to check the Community Calendar within 24 hours of submission of an event to make certain that it is properly listed. All Community Calendar listings are subject to the approval of the Federation.
Please contact the community calendar administrator to reschedule, cancel or make changes to an event already listed on the calendar.
Please note: The Jewish Federation administers the community events calendar, which consists of receiving and posting of events. The Jewish Federation is not responsible for resolving conflicts ensuing from the scheduling of multiple events on any given date. Times and locations of posted events are subject to change. Please verify information posted with the contact person on the event listing.
