Known as a paradise for outdoor lovers and one of the most beautiful places to live in the USA, Utah is nothing short of extraordinary, as is its Jewish community which has grown exponentially over the last 5 years. The United Jewish Federation of Utah, located in Salt Lake City and serving the entire state, is seeking a motivated and organized Office Administrator/Social Media Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our organization, ensuring excellent service while supporting administrative and marketing tasks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Administrative Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community members, community partners, vendors, and the broad community.
- Manage the office, answer inquiries, and assist with general administrative tasks.
- Manage and oversee donor software, ie data entry, process donations, reports, timely communication, etc.
Communications & Social Media Management:
- Create event marketing, including crafting weekly emails, newsletters, and all event-related announcements.
- Manage and update all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), creating engaging content to promote events, news, and report on completed events.
- Manage and update website.
Event Support:
- Assist with planning and coordinating events, such as fundraisers, donor recognition gatherings and other community programs as they arise.
- Handle event inquiries, reservations, and correspondence with community members.
- Create event marketing materials in collaboration with the staff and planning committee, such as invitations and promotional content.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring seamless execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an office administrative role experience is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Jewish holidays and traditions.
- Experience with social media management tools and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator).
- Creativity in developing engaging communication content and social media posts.
