The United Jewish Federation of Utah stands in solidarity with those who were injured during the appalling antisemitic violence that erupted in Amsterdam last night. We are horrified and outraged at what occurred when anti-Israel mobs terrorized, beat, and injured Israelis and Jews leaving a soccer game.
This modern-day pogrom, just two days before the anniversary of Kristallnacht, is a stark reminder of the persistent threat faced by Jewish communities around the world. It is imperative that we, as a global society, unequivocally condemn these acts and ensure that justice is served.
As always, we remain in close contact with our local law enforcement partners as we continue our commitment to the security and safety of our Jewish community.
As we prepare for Shabbat after a emotionally charged week, let's draw strength from one another and continue to pray for the release of the hostages and for the safety of those who are protecting both Israel and the United States.
