Join us at Congregation Kol Ami for Shavuot, our holiday where we celebrate the receiving of the Torah and 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai, for this special evening sponsored by Congregation Kol Ami and Temple Har Shalom. Following our dinner at 7:00pm, Rabbi Spector will moderate an interfaith panel featuring Rabbi Jonathan Hecht, interim rabbi of Temple Har Shalom and former dean of the Cincinnati campus of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Elder Brian K. Taylor, Utah Area President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and Avais Ahmed, co-founder the Utah Muslim Civic League. The panel will focus on themes of Shavuot of revelation and conversion in the leaders' respective faiths. Following the panel, there will be a brief Ma'ariv Service, and then an interfaith Tikkun Leil Shavuot text study from our panelists, Rabbi Spector, and Cantor Davis. This will be a truly special and unique evening bringing together friends of Abrahamic Faiths with unique traditions.
