From Sports Activist to Cookie Maven: An evening with Auntie Em's Emily Burney
Raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Emily comes from a long line of cooks, and her childhood goal was to operate a bakery in a small ski town. Following college and an outdoor wilderness career, which included jobs as a white water rafting guide and ski patroller, Emily realized her dream when she opened Auntie Em’s Bakery at the Park City Farmer’s Market in 2014. As the demand and accolades for her cookies and pies grew Emily was finally able to open her own bakery now located on Kerns Boulevard. The praise and demand for her offerings continue to grow.
