Before the Salt Lake Art Museum opens to the public, we invite the Utah Jewish community to join us for a special reception to honor our new home's history and place in the community. The former B'nai Israel Temple was built in 1890 and served as an Orthodox congregation until 1893, then as a Reform congregation until 1972, when the congregation merged with Congregation Montefiore and moved to Congregation Kol Ami.
