Join us at 7:40pm for a screening of the animated film Waltz With Bashir, in which filmmaker Ari Folman reconstructs his suppressed memories of serving in the 1982 Lebanon War and ultimately confronts the trauma of the Sabra and Shatila massacre. Following the film, Rabbi Spector will lead a discussion on how we can love Israel while acknowledging its complexities and also show empathy for Palestinians. We’ll conclude the evening with our Selichot service.
