Groundbreaking exhibit at the Mishkan Museum of Art: a dialogue between cultures, values and the experience of loss
The Mishkan Museum of Art in Ein Harod, Israel has just opened an exhibit, “Spirit of Man, Spirit of Place,” that resolves around the work of five members of the Abu-Shakra family. The exhibit is curated by a Jewish historian and an Arab Israeli scholar. It’s being exhibited alongside the Mishkan’s permanent collection dedicated to the Jewish historical narrative, which provides an opportunity for all ages to participate in programs for Israeli and Arab groups as they experience these diverse cultural narratives. At our program, we will explore the Abu-Shakra exhibit, the Judaica collection and the educational programs with staff members from the Mishkan.
Hosted by Amy Goodman in Park City, UT. Please bring your own brown bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
Lunch at 1 pm and program begins at 1:30 pm.
Location provided after RSVP.
