Class & discussion led by Michael Greenfield.
Watch the film 306 Hollywood before class.
Our conversation will focus on the film 306 Hollywood. Technically, it’s a documentary, but it’s not like any you’re likely to have seen before. Two siblings undertake an archeological excavation of their late grandmother’s house – a house she lived in for the better part of a lifetime. Their whimsical cataloging of the house’s contents push viewers to consider questions about memory, history, and the pieces of ourselves that we leave behind for others.
This film is currently available for free on Amazon Prime Video. It's also available from iTunes. Our apologies for not being able to provide other means of access. This is an experiment in utilizing media widely in use in our congregation as source material for a class.
